Tracey Emin, Love Is What You Want

I managed to see Love Is What You want at the Hayward just before it closed, so glad I made the effort as living in London it is so easy to become complacent and not bother with shows. We really are spoilt for the quality and quantity of exhibitions, and this was the best this year.

I was taken back by the breadth of her practice and how it works so well as one show, her voice came through so strongly and the works communicate really well together. I was touched by how beautiful the drawings are in real life, they reminded me of Cy Twombly's paintings, the way the lines and scratches moved over the paper, and their sense of emotion.
